Cisco Workplace Resources (WPR)

Andy Smith, Global Sustainability Manager within Cisco’s Workplace Resources (WPR) department, has 10 years of experience in the fields of sustainability and energy management, helping companies to better understand their energy and environmental impacts and develop strategies to reduce these impacts. 

Andy’s primary focus at Cisco is measuring and reporting Cisco’s operational energy and environmental impacts and identifying, evaluating, and implementing cost-effective strategies to reduce these impacts. He also provides thought leadership and guidance both internally and externally at Cisco in order to advance the field of sustainability throughout the IT industry.

Prior to joining Cisco, Andy was a consultant for sustainability consulting firm DOMANI and the Rocky Mountain Institute, a noted environmental think tank in Colorado. Andy also served as Energy Manager for Washtenaw County Government in Michigan. He is an LEED Accredited Professional (v2.2) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers.

Andy and his wife live in sunny Boulder, Colorado, where they enjoy almost every outdoor activity including rock climbing, hiking, biking, backpacking, and skiing. They are both musicians and love to travel.
